Reeding between the lines to see the light

There’s still hope for getting the door we want on the pantry – I’ve done some searching and all is not lost!

Firstly, I’ve discovered that the correct term for “stripey” glass is “reeded” – and you can get broad reeded or narrow reeded! Thanks to The Glass Room for the helpful section on restoration glass, and the images above.

Obviously it would not be a cheap option to purchase some old glass and have it fitted into a newly made 4 Lite (yes, I can now talk doors with the best doormen door manufacturers) but I’ve put up with obscured light and views for long enough…

But then again… what’s a little light and views to sacrifice for keeping sane?! (That’s either side of the temporary wall you’re looking at.)
